Train the Trainers Workshop on the
Development of Out of School Youth Curriculum at Daires Suites New
Heaven, Enugu Between 20 – 24th October, 2009
The Council
organized a 4-day workshop for trainers in the out of school youth
curriculum. The workshop is to train teachers who will in turn
train 185 youths in the 1st batch all over the federation
in six trades: Entrepreneurship, snack making, hair dressing,
barbing, screen printing and GSM repair.The Council has put
in place incubation centres in the six geopolitical zones of the
country: Abakaliki, Damaturu, Kano, Lagos, Calabar and Minna.
The Executive
Secretary, Prof. Godswill Obioma, who was represented at the
workshop by Dr. Geoffrey Nneji, Deputy Director, Curriculum
Development Centre (NERDC) stated that the trainees upon completion
of the programme would be provided with empowerment tools to enable
them start their business. |
